Use this command to set the blink status LED or power LED of managed FortiAP.

The following table shows all newly added, changed, or removed entries as of FortiOS 6.0.

Command Description

execute wireless-controller led-blink

New execute command

Syntax

execute wireless-controller led-blink  Blink status LED or power LED of managed FortiAP.
        wtp-id   WTP ID.
            mode   [on | off]
                {duration}   Blink duration in seconds (0 = unlimited).

The following section is for those options that require additional explanation.

At present, this feature is supported by the following FortiAP models:

  • FortiAP-112D, 221C, 223C, 224D, 320C, and 321C using FortiOS 5.6.2 and above.
  • All FortiAP-S/W2 using FortiOS 5.6.2 and above.

Select a FortiAP from the FortiCloud WebUI and set its LED status to blink in durations of seconds, in order to help identify specific FortiAP devices in an environment consisting of many APs.

For example, in order to set the device to blink every ten seconds, enter the following:

execute wireless-controller led-blink FP112D3X12345678 on 10
