Priority and primary FortiGate-7000 selection

You can select a FortiGate-7000 to become the primary FortiGate-7000 by setting the HA priority of one or more of its FIMs (for example, the FIM in slot 1) higher than the priority of the other FIMs. Enter the following command to set the HA priority:

config system ha

set priority <number>

end

The default priority is 128.

The FortiGate-7000 with the highest total FIM priority becomes the primary FortiGate-7000.
