What's new

What's new

FortiExtender 7.6.1 offers the following new features and enhancements:

  • Multi-path cellular channel extensions to support multiple simultaneous packet data networks via multiple access point name configurations on FEX-511G and FEX-511G-WiFi in managed WAN-Extension mode (Managed).
  • FortiExtender supports specifying custom certificates for HTTPS management access (Standalone).

  • Support SSH, strong-crypto, and configure key, ciphers and MAC options (Standalone).
  • FortiCare registration over FortiOS now supports FortiExtender. FortiExtender performs a self-registration sequence when a registration request is triggered from FortiOS (Managed).
  • Support split tunnel in FortiExtender LAN extension mode. Instead forwarding all traffic to the SASE overlay for inspection, you can control which traffic bypasses the SASE and travels directly to their destination (Managed).
  • FEV21xF and FBS10F devices in permitted regions have DFS channels enabled (Standalone and Managed).
Note

For a detailed description of the features, refer to the FortiExtender 7.6.1 Admin Guide (FGT-Managed) or Admin Guide (Standalone).

Region/country code update

  • FortiExtender WiFi models now have their country code and SKU mapping tables aligned with other Fortinet F and G series Wi-Fi products.
