Operator accounts
Access to FortiDLP is granted through an operator account. These accounts are shown in Admin settings > Operators, within the All operators table.
FortiDLP supports the following operator account types:
- A FortiCloud operator account is created and managed using the FortiCloud Portal. It allows an operator to access the FortiDLP Console after authenticating with FortiCloud. For more information, see FortiCloud operators.
- A FortiDLP supporting operator account is created by Fortinet, for a Fortinet employee, upon a customer's request for assistance with FortiDLP. Access for the FortiDLP supporting operator is then managed using the FortiDLP Console or FortiDLP API. For details, see FortiDLP supporting operators.
- An MSSP operator account is manually created and managed by a managed security service provider (MSSP) using the FortiDLP MSSP Console. It allows them to be redirected from the MSSP Console to the FortiDLP Console for permitted tenants. For more information, refer to the FortiDLP MSSP Console Administration Guide.
