Manually archiving and unarchiving users

You can also automatically archive inactive users. For more information, see Auto-archiving inactive users.

To manually archive or unarchive a user, follow the steps below.

How to manually archive or unarchive a single user
  1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .

  2. Filter the page to locate the user you want to archive/unarchive. For guidance, see Viewing users.

  3. In the Users table, do one of the following:

  • To archive a user:

    1. On the relevant user's table row, click > Archive user.

    2. In the confirmation box, provide a reason.

    3. Click Archive.

    4. Note

      A user with an Active, Always active, or Pending enrollment state can be manually archived. The user will transition to Archived.

  • To unarchive a user:

    1. On the relevant user's table row, click > Unarchive user.

    2. In the confirmation box, provide a reason.

    3. Click Unarchive.

      Note

      A user with an Always archived or Archived state can be manually unarchived. The user will transition to Always active.

How to manually archive or unarchive multiple users
  1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .

  2. Filter the page to locate the users you want to archive/unarchive. For guidance, see Viewing users.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To archive users:

      1. On the top-right corner of the page, click > Archive users.

      2. In the confirmation box, provide a reason.

      3. Click Archive.

      4. Note

        Users with an Active, Always active, or Pending enrollment state will be archived. These users will transition to Archived.

    • To unarchive users:

      1. On the top-right corner of the page, click > Unarchive users.

      2. In the confirmation box, provide a reason.

      3. Click Unarchive.

        Note

        Users with an Always archived or Archived state will be unarchived. These users will transition to Always active.
