Publishing policy groups

After you configure a policy group, you must publish it to make the policies it contains effective for the FortiDLP Agents in your deployment.

You can publish a policy group immediately, where policies are applied to FortiDLP Agents within 15 minutes. Alternatively, if you need more time to review your policies before pushing them to FortiDLP Agents, you can save a draft and publish the group later.

The instructions for publishing a policy group immediately are described in Configuring policy templates. To publish a draft policy group, follow these steps.

How to publish a policy group draft

1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
2. Do one of the following:
   • To review/update the configuration prior to publishing the group:
     1. Click the policy group containing the policies you want to publish.
     2. Edit the policy group as needed, referring to Editing policy groups and Configuring policy templates for detailed instructions.
     3. Verify the Enabled toggle is turned on for all the policies you want to publish within the group.
     4. Verify the Enable policy group toggle is turned on for the policy group.
     5. Click Publish policy group.
        
     6. In the Publish policy group dialog box, click Publish now.
   • To publish the policy group without reviewing/updating the configuration, on the right-hand side of the panel for the relevant policy group, click Publish.
