Changing your encryption key passphrase
You can easily change your FortiDLP Decryption Tool Extension passphrase, as detailed below.
If you have forgotten your passphrase and therefore cannot unlock the FortiDLP Decryption Tool Extension, to regain access, you will need to remove and re-install the extension, and then follow the steps in Setting encryption keys to create and configure a new encryption key.

How to change your FortiDLP Decryption Tool Extension passphrase
- On your browser's menu bar, click the
icon and launch the FortiDLP Decryption Tool Extension.
- In the Passphrase field, type your current passphrase and then click Unlock.
- On the top-right corner of the extension, click
> Change passphrase.
- In the Current passphrase field, type your current passphrase.
- In the New passphrase field, type your new passphrase.
- contains a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
- is complex (avoid strings of repeated characters)
- is unique (avoid reusing passphrases).
- In the Confirm new passphrase field, type your new passphrase again.
- Click OK.

Your passphrase must contain at least 12 characters. It is also recommended that it: Remember this passphrase, as you will need it every time you use the FortiDLP Decryption Tool Extension. |
