Importing policy templates

Importing policy templates

If you have not enabled FortiDLP's auto-released policy template functionality for your tenant, you must manually import a policy template bundle each time you want to upgrade your templates. The bundle is versioned and distributed independent of FortiDLP and FortiDLP Agent releases as new templates become available and existing templates are enhanced.

After you import the bundle, FortiDLP will attempt to upgrade previously configured policies to use the latest template functionality while preserving the existing configuration. Where this is not possible, the FortiDLP Console will indicate that manual input is required. Policies created after importing the new policy template bundle will automatically use the new functionality.

How to import policy templates
  1. Download the latest policy template bundle from the Next DLP Support Portal.
  2. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
  3. On the top-right corner of the page, click> Import Policy Templates.

  4. Select the policy template bundle (PACK file).
