Configuring connectors for your scans

An external connector connects FortiDevice to your Cloud assets, for example, AWS. After you add an external connector, FortiDevice can scan your Cloud assets for all connected devices and assets.

To add an external connector:

1. Go to Connectors > External Connector.

   

2. Click ADD CONNECTOR.

   

3. If you selected All Organizations in the Organization dropdown list at the top of the GUI, you can select which organization that the scan will belong to.

4. Select one or more regions.

5. In the Connector Name field, enter a name for this connector.

6. In the Access Key field, enter your AWS access key.

7. In the Secret Key field, enter your AWS secret key.

8. Select one or more resource type: EC2, ELB, or RDS.

9. In the Notes field, enter an optional description of the connector.

10. Click SAVE.

After you configure a connector for your scans: Go to Scans and click Add Scan to configure your scan. In the Add Scan dialog, select Cloud from the Location dropdown list. In the Connector dropdown list, select your connector.
