Viewing the dashboard

The Dashboard page is the standard visual view into your asset inventory and is populated with results after the scan completes. The Dashboard page provides trend data and insights that will help you assess how your inventory is changing over time.

At the top of the page, select if you want the trend data for all sites or for a particular site and whether you want the data for the last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 14 days, or last 30 days. After making your selections, click RESET to refresh the trend data.

The following is displayed on the Dashboard page:

  • Vulnerabilities

    The Vulnerabilities graph shows the number of critical, high, medium, low, informational, or “none found” vulnerabilities for your assets. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of vulnerabilities for a specific date and time. Select one or more checkboxes to display those levels of severity in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Vulnerabilities page with more details about the vulnerabilities found.

  • Asset types

    The Asset Types graph shows the number of desktop, server, switch, and other assets discovered. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of that type of assets found. Use the dropdown menu to select which assets are displayed in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Assets page with more details about the assets found.

  • Attack surface metrics

    The Attack Surface Metrics widget shows the number of attack vectors, attack vector types, attack complexity, whether user interaction or user privileges are required, the scope of the attack, the availability of impact measures, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Asset status

    The Asset Status graph shows the number of assets that are new, offline, or online. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of assets with that status for a specific date and time. Select one or more checkboxes to display the assets with that status in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Assets page with more details about the assets found.

  • Scan status

    The Scan Status graph shows the number of scans currently started, failed, completed, canceled, or scheduled. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of scans with that status for a specific date and time. Select one or more checkboxes to display the scans with that status in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Scans page with more details about the scans.

  • Detector status

    The Detector status graph shows the number of detectors that are new, offline, online, or uninstalled. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of detectors with that status for a specific date and time. Select one or more checkboxes to display the detectors with that status in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Detectors page with more details about the detectors.

  • Software

    The Software graph shows the number of software programs that are new, offline, or online. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see the number of software programs with that status for a specific date and time. Select one or more checkboxes to display the software programs with that status in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Software page with more details about the software programs found.

  • Layer-7 protocols

    The L7 Protocols graph shows how many services were found using layer-7 protocols. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see how many services using that protocol were found. Use the dropdown menu to select which protocols are displayed in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Services page with more details about the services found.

  • Layer-3 and layer-4 protocols

    The L3 & L4 Protocols graph shows how many services were found using layer-3 and layer-4 protocols. Hover your cursor over the Values line to see how many services using that protocol were found. Use the dropdown menu to select which protocols are displayed in the graph. Click the icon in the lower right to go to the Inventory > Services page with more details about the services found.
