AWS Add Kubernetes Cluster - EKS - Manual Deployment

  1. From the Container Protection navigation menu, go to Configure > Kubernetes Cluster.
  2. Click +ADD NEW to add a Kubernetes Cluster.
  3. Enter a Cluster Name to be shown in Container Protection or use the original cluster name, click Select Kubernetes Platform drop down menu and select AWS. Click Select Kubernetes Type drop down menu and select EKS.
  4. Enter the EKS ARN, click the Select IAM Role drop down menu and select the IAM role associated with the EKS ARN. If you have not already done so, click Add New to add the AWS IAM role to the Credential Store first.
  5. Note: On AWS portal, EKS ARN can be obtained through Elastic Kubernetes Service > Amazon EKS > Clusters, under Configuration tab.

  6. Select Manual as the deployment method and click Add Kubernetes Cluster.

You will be prompt to manually deploy Kubernetes Agent controller to the Kubernetes Cluster, follow the rest of the instructions in Deploy Kubernetes Agent Controller.
