Add Docker Hub Registry

Prerequisite

Before adding the Docker Hub registry to Container Protection, the Docker Hub repository needs to be entitled with appropriate permissions.

If the repository is initially configured with public access, then you can skip this step.

If the repository is initially configured with private access, then the repository needs to be configured with at least Read-Only permission for Container Protection to access the repository.

There are two types of configuration depending on your Docker Hub account structure.

  1. Single User Account: Add Docker Hub repositories through a single Docker Hub user account. This can be attained through creating a collaborator for a trusted user on the repository.
  2. Please see Docker Hub Collaborators Access Configuration for more details.

  3. Team Member Account: Add Docker Hub repositories through a team member under an organization. The Docker Hub assigns permission through its hierarchy system: Organization > Team > Members. The team member added in the Credential Store needs to be grant with read access permission to the repository.
  4. Please see Docker Hub Organization Access Configuration for more details.

After the Docker Hub configuration is completed, proceed to Add Docker Hub Registry to create a Docker Hub registry.
