Data pattern

FortiCWP uses data patterns to create policies for monitoring files. You can create customized data patterns from the Data Pattern page. These data patterns can be used when creating customized policies.

To create a customized data pattern, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to ADMIN > Data Pattern.
  2. Fill in the settings in Add Data Pattern.
  3. Name Enter a name for the data pattern.
    Description Enter a description for the data pattern.
    Category Select a data category from the list.
    File Extensions Specify file types to be monitored.
    Uncompressed File Size Specify the upper bound of an object size, in MB, for a full content scan.
    Compressed File Size Specify the upper bound of a zip file size, in MB, for a full content scan.
    Regex Context Enter in a phrase or string of characters, and any file containing that phrase will be monitored.
  4. Click +Add.
