Collections

FortiCWP offers collections database to store configuration values for Policy. In order to configure Policy, information needed to be stored in Collections first before proceeding to configure Policy. To access Collections, go to Administrator > Collection.

User Collection

FortiCWP users can be used to create user collection for Policy configuration. To create User Collection, follow these steps:

  1. Click on add button in User Column in the right hand side.
  2. In Name field, give a name to the user collection.
  3. Click Please select users field to select FortiCWP users to add.
  4. Click on save button in the right hand side to complete adding User Collection.

IP Collection

IP can be added to IP Collection to associate with a policy or allow list.

  1. Click on add button in IP Column in the right hand side.
  2. In Name field, give a name to the Collection IP.
  3. Click Please enter ip field to enter IPs to be added.
  4. Click on save button in the right hand side to complete adding IP Collection.

File Collection

Targeted files on cloud accounts can be added as file collection through file path in Regex.

  1. Click on add button in File Column in the right hand side.
  2. In Name field, give a name to the Collection file.
  3. Click File Path Regex field to enter file path to be added in Regex, e.g. \*.doc, etc.
  4. Click on save button in the right hand side to complete creating File Collection.

Compliance Collection

Compliance Collection can be used to monitor specific data pattern at a specified location using compliance policies. To setup Compliance Collection, first set up an associated policy, then create a Compliance Collection with the file path created earlier.

Step 1 - Setup Associated Policy
  1. Go to Policy > Compliance from navigation pane.
  2. Select a policy in related to file monitoring, e.g., SOX/COBIT - access to sensitive data.
  3. In Context tab, select the field next to Compliance Collection.
  4. Select the type of compliance collection that the policy would be associated to in Collection, e.g., SOX/COBIT - access to sensitive data.
  5. Click Save.

After the associated policy is setup, go back to Collection to finish setting up Compliance Collection.

Step 2 - Configure Compliance Collection
  1. Select the targeted Compliance Collection,(e.g., SOX/COBIT - access to sensitive data for this example) click on Data Pattern field to select the desired data pattern to monitor.
  2. Click on File Collection field to select the name of the File Collection setup earlier.
  3. Click on Associated Policy field to select the compliance policy that was saved earlier in Compliance Policy.
  4. Click on save button in the right hand side to complete configuration for Compliance Collection.

File Collection

Targeted files on cloud accounts can be added as file collection through file path in Regex.
