Storage Bucket

There are two groups of storage buckets/containers: Eligible Buckets/Containers and Ineligible Bucekts/Containers. Eligible Buckets/Containers are storage buckets/containers that are under accounts which have Workload Guardian monitoring enabled. Ineligible Buckets/Containers are storage buckets/containers that do not have Workload Guardian enabled. Only Eligible Buckets/Containers can have Storage Guardian monitoring enabled.

Activate Storage Guardian on Bucket/Container

Storage Guardian offers monitoring and protection for storage buckets/containers. To utilize storage guardian, follow the steps below to select the storage buckets/containers desired for monitoring and protection.

  1. Go to Admin > Account from menu and select Bucket tab.
  2. A list of eligible buckets/containers will be listed in Eligible Buckets/Containers.
  3. Click and select buckets/containers desired for monitoring and protection.
  4. Click Turn on StorageG to turn on Storage Guardian for these buckets/containers.

Disable Storage Guardian on Storage Bucket/Container

Disable Storage Bucket Monitoring

To disable cloud storage monitoring on storage bucket/container, follow steps below:

  1. Go to Admin > Account from menu and select Bucket tab.
  2. A list of all buckets/containers eligible for Storage Guardian protection will be listed below.
  3. Select the desired storage buckets/containers that have StorageG service set to ON.
  4. Click Turn off StorageG to turn off Storage Guardian monitoring for these buckets/containers.

Free Up Storage Guardian License Seat Space

Depending on the Storage Guardian license seat allowance, to prevent over usage, disable storage buckets/containers to prevent license over usage.

  1. Go to Admin > Account from menu and select Bucket tab.
  2. A list of all buckets/containers eligible for Storage Guardian protection will be listed below.
  3. Look for the desired storage buckets/containers that have StorageG service set to ON.
  4. Click Free up usage to turn off Storage Guardian for the bucket/container.

Note: It will take 24 hours to release license seat space.

Also look for storage buckets/containers that can be free up in Ineligible Buckets/Containers.
