Add Google Cloud Hosted FortiGate
Gather Required Information on the FortiGate Virtual Machine
Before adding FortiGate VM on FortiCNP, there are some information that need to be collected on the FortiGate VM.
- Log into Google Cloud Console.
- Select the project that holds the FortiGate VM instance.
- Click on Navigation menu and goto Compute Engine > VM instances.
- Click on the FortiGate VM instance.
- Make a note of the Zone in Basic information.
- Make a note of the network interface.
Add FortiGate On FortiCNP
Make sure the FortiOS version is 6.4.0 or later for IPS Integration in FortiCNP.
- Enter the FortiGate Name and Serial Number.
- The FortiGate Serial number can be obtained under System Information in FortiGate.
- In Virtual Network, select the Cloud Platform that hosts the virtual network and the virtual machines.
- In Cloud Platform, select Google Cloud.
- Then select the Google Cloud Domain that hosts the virtual network.
- In VPC Network, select the VPC Network that was noted from Network Interface in Google Cloud Portal.
- At last, in Region select the region that has the VPC Network as noted from Zone in Google Cloud Portal.
- Click Add Another to add another FortiGate virtual machine. (optional)
- Click Add FortiGate Device to finish.
