AWS Marketplace Subscription
Introduction
License subscription through AWS Marketplace is the most convenient way to get Cloud Protection license.
There are two types of AWS Marketplace licenses: Monthly Consumption and Annual Contract.

Monthly Consumption License
The Monthly Consumption License is entitled with 20 Workloads/Virtual Machines of Cloud Protection service and monitoring per month, any extra usage will be charged at $18 per Virtual Machine per month.
The add-on Data Protection - Standard service provides 100GB of cloud storage data scan against Malware using FortiGuard per month, any extra usage will be $0.6/GB.
All extra usage will be billed through AWS monthly billing. Monthly subscription can be unsubscribed anytime through AWS Marketplace.

Annual Contract License
The Annual Contract License is entitled to 100 Workloads/Virtual Machines of Cloud Protection service and monitoring per month, any extra usage will be charged a $18 per Virtual Machine per month.
The add-on Data Protection - Standard service provides 1TB of cloud storage data scan against Malware using FortiGuard.
Annual Contract has an option for additional coverage for 100 Workloads/VMs for $15,000 per year and 1TB of data protection for $5,000.
Any Data Protection extra usage will be $0.6/GB, and all extra usage will be billed through AWS monthly billing.
Annual Contract cannot be unsubscribed until the end of the contract.

Free Trial
There is a 14 days free trail AWS Marketplace subscription available when signing up for Monthly Consumption license for the first time. Annual contract is not entitled to free trial.
Features of the free subscription:
• Add one account per cloud platform (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) with no limit on number of VMs to be monitored.
• 10 GB of Data Protection service scan.
The free subscription will come to an end after 14 days and turn into Monthly Consumption license automatically. The Monthly Consumption license will start from the month when the free trial ended. The free trail can be unsubscribed through AWS Marketplace before it turns into monthly subscription.
For example, if the free trial ended on 6/29 and the monthly subscription started on 6/30, the monthly subscription would still be counted as starting in June without prorate. After the free trial turns into monthly subscription, multiple accounts can be added to each cloud platform, and other monthly subscription features would apply.
Auto Renewal
The subscription is automatically set for auto renewal unless it is configured not to auto renewal for both Monthly Consumption and Annual Contract license.
Subscription Expiration
When the Monthly Consumption or Annual Contract license expired without auto renewal, the Cloud Protection and Data Protection service will stop.
The FortiCloud account can still be used with a new AWS Marketplace subscription after the subscription expired.
