Installing certificates on the client

Installing certificates on the client

To configure a Windows client:
  1. Install the user certificate:
    1. Double-click the certificate file to launch Certificate Import Wizard.
    2. For Store Location, select Current User. Click Next.
    3. The file name should already be accurate for the location and name. Click Next.

    4. In the Password field, provide the password that you configured in Creating certificates in FortiAuthenticator. Click Next.
    5. Select Place all certificates in the following store.
    6. Browse to Personal. Click OK, then Next, and Finish.

  2. Repeat step 1 to install the CA certificate. For step f, select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities instead of Personal.
To configure a macOS client:
  1. Install the user certificate:
    1. Open the certificate file. Keychain Access opens.
    2. Double-click the certificate.
    3. Expand Trust, then select Always Trust.

  2. Repeat step 1 to install the CA certificate.
