Connecting and authorizing the FortiAP

To connect and authorize the FortiAP:
  1. Go to Network > Interfaces and edit an unused interface.
  2. Set an IP/Network Mask and enable CAPWAP under Administrative Access > IPv4.

    Enable DHCP Server.

    Now connect the FortiAP unit to the this interface and apply power.

  3. Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > Managed FortiAPs.
  4. Right-click on the FortiAP unit and select Authorize.

    Once authorized, right-click on the FortiAP unit again and select Assign Profile and select the FortiAP profile created earlier.
