What's new in this release

FortiOS 7.0.0 wireless includes the following changes:

  • Supports captive portal authentication when an SSID is bridged at L2 via a software switch.
  • Enables DHCP Address enforcement for wireless clients.
  • Increases the maximum number of supported VLANs in FortiGate 2U and high-end models.
  • Wireless controller now supports NAC profiles to onboard wireless clients into default VLANs.

  • Supports FortiAP radios to operate in Service Assurance Management (SAM) mode where a radio can operate as a client and preform tests again other APs to ensure an existing Wi-Fi network can provide acceptable services.
