FortiMail log correlation

In 6.2.1, log correlation has been introduced for different FortiMail log types with the same session ID.

  • In Log View, you can click a FortiMail log session ID to display other logs that share the same session ID.
  • You can see the session ID in Log View in the historical and real time views, log detail panel, and Log Browse.
  • The session ID of real time logs cannot be used to view other log types because they have not yet been inserted into the database.
Example of viewing FortiMail log types through the session ID:
  1. Navigate to Log View > History.
  2. Click the session ID of a log entry.
The Correlated Logs window is displayed.
  3. Select a log type tab to view additional logs that share the same session ID.
A No entry found message is displayed when no logs are found sharing the same session ID.
