Cloud-Out Connector (License): Amazon S3
A new license allows you to back up data (rolled logs) to public cloud accounts in Amazon (S3).
Support for this feature requires you to configure the following components in FortiAnalyzer:
- Create a Fabric Connector for Amazon S3
- Configure cloud storage
This license cannot be applied to FAZ-AWS VMs using pay as you go/on-demand order types.
To create Fabric Connectors for Amazon S3:
- Go to Fabric View > Create New.
- Click Amazon S3.
- Complete the following options specific to Amazon S3 Connectors, and click OK:
- In the Provider box, type AWS.
- In the Region box, type us-west-1.
- In the Access Key ID box, paste the access key from the Amazon S3 account.
- In the Secret Access Key box, paste the secret access key from the Amazon S3 account.
Following is an example of where to locate the information in Amazon S3:
To configure cloud storage:
- Go to System setting > Advanced > Device Log Settings, and select Upload logs to cloud storage.
- Click Create New.
- Complete the following options, and click OK:
- In the Cloud Storage Connector list, select the Fabric Connector that you created.
- In the Remote Path box, type the bucket name from Amazon S3:

The FortiAnalyzer logs appear on Amazon S3. Following is an example of the log name in Log View and on Amazon S3:
