VDOMs and ADOMs
FortiADC supports multi-tenancy and administrative separation through Virtual Domains (VDOMs) and Administrative Domains (ADOMs).
-
VDOM (Virtual Domain)
-
Creates multiple independent FortiADC instances on a single device
-
Each VDOM has its own configuration, enabling multi-tenant deployments
-
Supports independent or shared networking modes
-
-
ADOM (Administrative Domain)
-
Provides logical separation with shared infrastructure
-
Limits admin access to specific applications or configurations
-
-
Role-based administration
-
Admins can be restricted to specific VDOM/ADOM only
-
Global admins manage all domains and system-wide settings
-
For more information, see Virtual Domain in FortiADC Administration Guide.
