Configuring health check monitor

Monitoring health check status

FortiADC enables you to monitor the health of server in real time directly from your desktop, as described below.

  1. Click Shared Resources > Health Check.
  2. Click the Health Check Monitor tab.
  3. Configure the health check monitor as described in Checking server health.
  4. Click Start to perform the health check. The result will show in the Monitor Information.

Checking server health

Parameter Description

IP Address

Enter the IP address of the remote server.

Health Check

Select the health check configuration.

Port

Enter the port number, if applicable. Note: This field is available only for health check configurations that require port numbers.

Direct Route Mode

Enable to do health check of the applications deployed on real server. The health check request will be forwarded to the real server as next hop. The real server will reply the request via routing just as it responses to the client's request.

You should also enable Direct Route Mode in the real server pool configuration, and configure the virtual server's IP address the same with that of the real server. See Using real server pools

Direct Route IPv4/IPv6

Enter the IP address of the real server who serves as next hop.
